Q. How difficult is it to brew beer?
A. If you can boil water, you can make beer.
Q. Is home-made beer any good?
A. Absolutely. Our beer kits regularly claim awards in homebrewing competitions.
Q. Can I save money making beer?
A. Certainly. Micro brewed beer and imports cost around $10.00 per six pack while the average cost of a six pack of home brew is $5.50, a savings of 44%.
Q. How much does it cost to get started?
A. We sell two beer making equipment kits, a basic and a two-stage kit. The basic home brew equipment kit sells for $79.99 and the two-stage home beer making equipment kit sells for $154.99.
Q. How much beer does it make?
A. Our Ingredient kits yield 5 gallons of home brew which is about 50-12 oz bottles. They sell for $37.00 to $59.00.
Q. How long does it take?
A. Typically it will take about 3 hours to brew a batch of home brew beer. When fermentation is complete (about 2 weeks) the homebrew is ready for bottling. After two more weeks in the bottle the homebrewed beer is conditioned (carbonated) and ready for refrigeration. Cheers!
Q. The directions “said” to do this….
A. There are no such things as directions, they’re guidelines. Don’t get hung up on the details, just brew it. If you think you’re doing something right then you are. If you think you are doing something wrong then think again.
Q. What kind of water do I need to use?
A. Use the water that you drink, if it tastes good then brew with it. The only exception, avoid water with a high iron content.
Q. Can I mess it up?
A. Cleanliness and sanitation is the key to brewing success..

There are two steps here:

  1. The home brewing equipment must be clean. This means “doing the dishes”.
  2. The beer making equipment can now be sanitized. Use no rinse sanitizers for the best results.
Q. Where do I put it?
A. Home brewed beer ferments at room temperature (About 70 degrees Fahrenheit) . Just find a temperature stable location and let Mother Nature brew the rest.
